FIX Handyman & Interior Design has a long list of services available. You can find some of the services listed below, along with a description of what each of the services entails. We have so many more that are not listed here and are happy to tailor our services to each customers needs.

Basic

  • Changing Light Bulbs. Do you need help with changing your light bulb in a light fixture, oven, microwave, vent, car, or somewhere else?  We can both pick up the bulb for you and replace it.

  • Gutter Cleaning and Repair

  • Changing Outlet/Switch Covers. Over time outlets and switch covers tend to fade in color, they can go out of style, or sometimes they break. If you have this happen, we can supply new covers and replace them for you.

  • Replacing or Installing Smoke Alarms. Smoke alarms are important to have to protect yourself from fire and smoke. Most smoke alarms are operated on batteries and will need new batteries from time to time. We recommend replacing your smoke detectors at least every 10 years because the sensor can wear out over time.

  • Re-caulking. Is your caulk around your vanity, toilet, shower, or tub cracking or has it gotten quite gross looking, it is probably time to get it replaced. The old caulk will have to be cut out, and then the new caulk applied.

  • Install New Doorbell. Whether it is a smart doorbell or a traditional doorbell, we can install your new doorbell for you.

  • Art Hanging: We can curate a single wall or your entire house for you.

  • Sewing: Curtains, alterations simple upholstering and slipcovers and well designed softgoods for the home.

Intermediate

  • Install or Re-mount Towel Hooks and Bars. Do you need more towel hooks or bars in your bathroom or kitchen? Was your old bar not installed correctly and is now loose? We can help you out!

  • Interior Painting and Drywall Repairs

  • Exterior Painting

  • Exterior Soffit Repair

  • Whole house fan installation and repair

  • Repairs and Replacements: We can do all kinds of repairs and replacements on toilets, garbage disposals, faucets, shower heads, and sinks.

  • Furnace Filter Replacement. FIX recommends replacing your furnace filter at least every 3 months. If you don’t  feel comfortable doing it, FIX Handyman can help you with this.

  • Installations: We can do installations of everything from installing appliances, hanging TV mounts, shelving, curtains, blinds, and pictures, to new window hardware.

  • Assemble Furniture: We help with picking up and assembling all kinds of furniture, no matter what type or where it is from. Ikea assembly is a specialty. 

  • Doors and Locks: We do installations of new doors, new locks (also smart locks), handles, and the fixing of old squeaking doors.

  • Deck building and Repair

Advanced

  • Certified interior & exterior lighting designers at FIX: Specializing in kitchen, bathroom, architectural, garden, driveway, & deck lighting

  • Demolitions: We do demolition on everything from inside walls to big sheds, even ground and lifted decks. We always supply our own dumpster!

  • Sprinkler Systems: We do the start-up for sprinkler systems in the spring, service them throughout the year, and replace backflows.

  • Fences: We can repair and replace all types of wooden, composite, and metal fences. We design and build new fences and move existing fences.

  • Kitchen Cabinet Painting with Interior Designer Color choosing guidance: Do you want a kitchen facelift but don’t want to remodel the entire space? FIX can guide you to choose the best color combinations for your cabinets and will repaint your kitchen cabinets to completely transform your space.

  • New Kitchen Cabinet countertop: Our Interior Design Services can help you choose the best new granite, quartz or composite countertop for your kitchen.

  • Bathroom Remodel: FIX can help you to create a new bathroom to dramatically update it into a spa like beautiful new space.

  • House Monitoring and Maintenance: We can arrange to help you once a month to keep all of your systems and property maintained.

  • House Sitting: We can help you take care of your home while you are away.
